Milford is delighted to report the New Zealand Women’s underwater hockey team, including our own Rachel Arbuckle, has won the world championship title.

The women’s team were also the world titleholders in 2013, and on NZ time Sunday (July 29th) they beat Great Britain in the final in Quebec City.

The team then supported the Men’s Underwater hockey team to watch them win their final over France.

The teams both pay their own way to world events, fundraising and working extremely hard to compete at this level.

It was Rachel’s first time at the world championships, and the teams’ gold result is fantastic. Rachel has successfully managed her rigorous training and her role at Milford, where she works with our Institutional and Financial Adviser clients.

Congratulations to Rachel and the team, it is a superb effort.
