Wayne Gentle
Chief Investment Officer & Executive Director
Wayne is the Chief Investment Officer at Milford and the Head of Australian Investments. He is the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Trans-Tasman Equity and Australian Absolute Growth Funds. He has more than 25 years’ experience in managing a diverse range of Australian equities portfolios. Prior to joining Milford, Wayne was Deputy Head of Australian Equities at Colonial First State Global Asset Management. Previously, Wayne held Senior Analyst and Deputy Head of Research roles with Allianz Global Investors, and JP Morgan.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jonathan Windust
Portfolio Manager & Deputy CIO
Jonathan is Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Manager of the Milford Active Growth Funds (Investment Funds & KiwiSaver) and Co-Manager of the Aggressive Funds (Investment Funds & KiwiSaver). Prior to joining Milford in 2008, Jonathan worked for Gartmore Investment Management in London where he was Portfolio Manager for the Royal Bank of Scotland Pension Scheme which had assets in excess of NZ$25bn. While at Gartmore, Jonathan was also responsible for investment strategy and investments into individual private equity funds and companies across Europe and Asia. Prior to Gartmore, Jonathan worked for BT Funds Management, Frank Russell and the New Zealand Dairy Board (now Fonterra). Jonathan is a CFA Charterholder.
Paul Morris
Portfolio Manager & Deputy CIO
Paul is Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of a number of Milford Funds. He joined Milford in February 2016, and has more than 25 years’ experience in global and Australasian financial markets. Paul held senior fixed income roles with investment banks including Merrill Lynch and ABN AMRO in London. His experience includes debt capital markets, credit trading and interest rate derivatives trading. Paul moved to New Zealand in 2009 and was Executive Director and Head of Debt Capital Markets at JBWere, before moving to Macquarie Private Wealth in 2010 where he was Head of Portfolio Strategy. Paul has a Master in Aeronautical Engineering from Queen’s University in Belfast.
Mark Riggall
Portfolio Manager
Mark is the Portfolio Manager of a number of Milford Funds in addition to responsibility for managing the Central Dealing Desk. Prior to joining Milford in November 2014, Mark spent 11 years with Morgan Stanley in London and Hong Kong as an Equity Derivatives Trader. In Hong Kong he had responsibility for the Asia ex-Japan index derivatives business, running multiple regional derivative portfolios. Prior to that, in London he ran a global equity derivatives portfolio in addition to a UK equity derivatives portfolio. Mark has a Masters of Engineering degree from the University of Bath, UK.
Sam Trethewey
Portfolio Manager
Sam is the Portfolio Manager of the Trans-Tasman Equity Fund and the Milford New Zealand Equities Wholesale Fund. Since joining Milford in 2014, Sam has focused on conducting research analysis across listed New Zealand equities. Sam previously worked for Craigs Investment Partners as an Associate in the Equity Capital Markets team advising on a wide range of equity issuance and was also an Analyst in the Corporate Finance team at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Sam has a Master of Business (Dist) and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance from the University of Otago.
Frances Sweetman
Portfolio Manager & Head of Sustainable Investment
Frances is Milford’s Head of Sustainable Investment and a Portfolio Manager. Frances joined Milford in early 2017 as a Senior Analyst focused on New Zealand equities.
Prior to joining Milford, Frances was a Senior Research Analyst at Craigs Investment Partners, responsible for the New Zealand and Australian equity exposures of the Private Wealth division. Frances has previously worked as an Analyst at Brook Asset Management focused on the property, finance and telecommunications sectors and as an Analyst at Macquarie Bank in Sydney in the institutional equities research team. She holds an MSc in Estate Management from South Bank University, a BA(Hons) in Economics and Business Management from Newcastle University and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Stephen Johnston
Portfolio Manager
Stephen is Portfolio Manager of the Aggressive Funds (KiwiSaver and Investment Funds) and the Milford Global Equity Fund. He has more than 20 years of investment experience across global financial markets and different asset classes. Prior to joining Milford in 2013, Stephen was a partner at London-based Adelante Asset Management where he was a Senior Portfolio Manager, managing an Emerging Market Equity Fund. Prior to Adelante, Stephen was a Portfolio Manager in London at Threadneedle Investments and Convivo Capital Management, managing various Emerging Market Funds.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago and was admitted to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1995.
William Curtayne
Portfolio Manager
William joined Milford in 2010 and is primarily based in Auckland after working in Milford’s Sydney office from its establishment in 2014 before returning to Auckland in 2021.
He focuses mainly on Australian equities as Portfolio Manager of the Australian Absolute Growth Funds and the Milford Dynamic Funds. He is also Co-Manager of the flagship Milford Active Growth Fund.
William visits and speaks to hundreds of companies every year and conducts detailed financial analysis to uncover high-quality investment ideas.
William has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland majoring in Finance and Economics, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Michael Higgins
Portfolio Manager
Michael joined Milford in January 2017 and is Portfolio Manager of the Milford Dynamic Funds. Previously he spent four years at Macquarie Securities as a Senior Analyst in the Emerging Leaders Research team. Prior to that, Michael was an Analyst at the Global Research House Morningstar. Over the past seven years, his coverage has been varied across a broad range of smaller technology and industrial companies. Michael also worked as a Structural Engineer at Sinclair Knight Merz in Sydney before switching into the funds management industry. He holds a Master of Commerce and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), both from the University of Sydney.
Alexander Whight
Portfolio Manager
Alexander is a Portfolio Manager in the Global Equities team. Prior to joining Milford in 2020, Alexander was a Portfolio Manager and foundational member of the global equities team at AustralianSuper, which managed more than $10bn invested in international shares. Alexander also spent five years at J.P. Morgan Cazenove in London covering European Industrial stocks, and began his investment career in Sydney in 2004 with Tyndall Investment Management.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Sydney and a Master of Applied Finance & Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Alexander is based in Milford’s Sydney office.
Jason Kururangi
Portfolio Manager
Jason is a Portfolio Manager based in our Sydney office. He is the Portfolio Manager of the Australian Equities Wholesale Fund and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Australian Absolute Growth Funds. Prior to joining Milford in October 2020, Jason spent eight years as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst at Aberdeen Standard Investments focused primarily on the Australian market. During his career, Jason has covered many sectors including real estate, banks, diversified financials, resources, information technology and healthcare.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of Auckland, a Master of Business Administration in Land Economy and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Cambridge. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Anthony Ip
Portfolio Manager
Anthony joined Milford in May 2023 as a fixed income portfolio manager based in Sydney. Anthony has over 18 years of experience in credit trading and research across Australia and Asia. Prior to joining Milford, Anthony managed the Australian credit trading business for Citigroup in Sydney.
Prior to that, Anthony spent two years at Deutsche Bank Australia where he was a sellside credit strategist. Anthony started his career in Hong Kong where he spent 8 years as a credit analyst at Goldman Sachs, during which his focus was on the China market, Asia EM and illiquid credit. Anthony has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in finance and accounting from the University of New South Wales.
Kyle Twomey
Senior Analyst
Kyle is a Senior Analyst in the Global Equities team. Prior to joining Milford in 2022, Kyle spent 6 years in London working for Glenernie Capital, a long/short Small-Mid Cap European Equity fund, and as an equity research analyst with Citi Group. Kyle started his investment career at Moelis and Company in Sydney, covering Australian small caps.
He holds a Bachelor of commerce degree from The University of Sydney and is Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified, having begun his career at Deloitte.
Kyle is based in Milford’s Sydney office.
Stephanie Batchelor
Senior Analyst
Stephanie is a Senior Investment Analyst focused on global equities. Since joining Milford in July 2016, Stephanie has focused on conducting research analysis across the portfolio of global listed equities as well as identifying new investment opportunities offshore. Previously, Stephanie was an analyst in the investment banking team at Goldman Sachs, where she advised on a range of capital markets and private transactions. Stephanie graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science, majoring in Finance, Accounting and Pharmacology, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Dr Deborah Lambie
Investment Analyst
Deborah joined Milford in early 2020 as an Investment Analyst covering Global Equities. Prior to joining Milford, Deborah was an Associate in the Investment Banking Team at Jarden where she worked on a number of Mergers and Acquisitions & Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions including the sale of Aegis, the sale of TRG Imaging, the purchase of Hellers, and a number of capital raises.
Prior to this, Deborah worked as a medical Doctor at Capital & Coast District Health Board, and was Chair of the New Zealand Medical Association Doctors in Training Council. Deborah also has an interest in online education and co-founded LearnCoach with David Cameron in 2015, which is widely used by NCEA students.
Deborah holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours), Master of Entrepreneurship (Distinction) and is a CFA Charterholder.
Jeremy Hutton
Investment Analyst
Jeremy is an Investment Analyst in the New Zealand Equities team, based in the Auckland office. Prior to joining Milford in October 2021, Jeremy spent five years as an Investment Analyst at Pioneer Capital, a leading New Zealand-based Private Equity firm. Before that, Jeremy was an Analyst in the Corporate Finance team at KPMG, Auckland.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Commerce, from the University of Canterbury studying Economics and Finance. He also attended Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Jeremy is a CFA Charterholder.
Daniel Wu
Senior Analyst
Daniel is a Senior Analyst based in our Sydney office, focusing on global equities. Prior to joining Milford in November 2021, Daniel spent five years as an Analyst at Montaka Global Investments, a boutique long/short global equities manager, including two and a half years in New York covering a range of sectors as a generalist.
Prior to this, Daniel spent two and a half years as an Investment Banking Analyst at UBS and Goldman Sachs in Sydney, covering the infrastructure and TMT sectors, respectively.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.
Andrew Curtayne
Senior Analyst
Andrew joined Milford in 2023 as a Senior Analyst focusing on global equities research. He is also the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Global Select Fund.
Prior to joining Milford, Andrew spent three years as a Portfolio Manager at NZ Funds focusing on absolute return strategies investing across equities, bonds and commodities.
Before this he spent 5 years in London working at Melqart Asset Management, an event driven Hedge Fund focused on long/short equites, merger arbitrage and distressed credit. Andrew spent the first 5 years of his career advising on Mergers and Acquisitions predominantly with Goldman Sachs.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland with First Class Honours, majoring in Finance and Economics.
Andrew is based in Milford’s Auckland office.
Ian Robertson
Senior Analyst
Ian joined Milford in 2017 as a Senior Analyst focused on fixed income investments. He is the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Trans-Tasman Bond Fund & the Global Corporate Bond Funds.
Prior to joining Milford, Ian worked at ANZ Bank New Zealand, most recently in the Specialised Finance team originating, structuring and executing leveraged transactions. Before returning to New Zealand in 2014, Ian spent seven years at a UK fund manager as a Credit Analyst investing in European and US leveraged loans and high yield bonds.
He has also worked on advisory, restructuring and formal insolvency appointments at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Auckland and London. Ian has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) majoring in Finance from the University of Auckland.
Katlyn Parker
Investment Analyst
Katlyn is an Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager of the Milford Cash Funds. Her primary role is to conduct fixed income research, focused on corporate bond markets.
Katlyn joined Milford in September 2015 after relocating to New Zealand from Ireland, initially as a Private Wealth Associate and most recently as an Authorised Financial Adviser. Prior to joining Milford, she was employed by Davy Stockbrokers in Dublin.
Katlyn graduated with a first class honours degree in Actuarial Mathematics from Dublin City University (DCU) and is a CFA Charterholder.
Brad Litt
Credit Trading Manager
Brad joined Milford in 2014 as a Business Analyst within the Operations team, responsible for the set-up of Milford’s Charles River trading system. Following successful system implementation, Brad moved to the Investment team, where he has responsibility for trade execution on the Central Dealing Desk. Prior to joining Milford, Brad was a Business Analyst at Standard Chartered Bank. Brad has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
Michael Luke
Investment Analyst
Michael is Co-Portfolio Manager of the Milford New Zealand Equities Wholesale Fund. Michael joined Milford in November 2016. His role at Milford is to research, meet and analyse a range of companies to identify potential investment opportunities. Michael graduated from the University of Auckland in 2018 with a Bachelor of Commerce, double majoring in Finance & Accounting. Having purchased his first shares at the age of 14, Michael previously managed a private portfolio and investment blog, specialising in small cap stocks across Australia and New Zealand.
Brooke Bone
Investment Director
Brooke is an Investment Director for Milford’s Funds and co-manages the Milford Private Equity Fund II and III. He is currently a director of a number of companies on behalf of the Milford Active Growth Fund. Brooke joined Milford in 2012 from Macquarie Securities in New Zealand where he was a Senior Research Analyst covering a variety of sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, mining and oil and gas. Prior to that, Brooke was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley in London, covering Pan-European retail companies. Brooke also worked for the corporate finance and property team of Marks and Spencer in the UK. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young and is a CFA Charterholder.
John Johnston
Investment Director
John is an Investment Director for Milford’s Funds and co-manages the Milford Private Equity Fund II and III. Prior to joining Milford in 2016, John spent four years at Fletcher Building, latterly managing the Firth Masonry, Dricon, and CSP Pacific businesses operating in the concrete and roading technology sectors. This followed stints in strategy and corporate finance at Fletcher Building and prior to that Air New Zealand. The first decade of John’s experience was in principal equity investment and investment banking for Societe Generale and Macquarie Bank (in Sydney and London) working across a range of industry sectors. John holds an LLB (Hons), BA and BCom from the University of Otago and an MBA from Oxford University.
Tom Monti
Senior Investment Manager
Tom is a Senior Investment Manager in the Milford Private Markets team. He is responsible for origination and assessment of opportunities, valuations, executing transactions and supporting the management teams of investee companies.
Prior to this, Tom worked as an Investment Banker at UBS in Auckland, where he was involved in a number of significant capital markets and private transactions.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Finance (with First Class Honours) from the University of Canterbury.
Kylie Lee
Investment Manager
Kylie is an Investment Manager in the Milford Private Markets team. She is based in the Auckland office, working on the origination and assessment of new investment opportunities as well as the management of existing portfolio assets.
Kylie joined Milford from PE-backed Canopy Healthcare Group where she was the Corporate Development and Strategy Manager, working across M&A and strategic projects including a sale between private equity owners and two bolt-on acquisitions under the new ownership. Kylie brings a great mix of skills to the team having spent time in corporate, working under PE ownership, and with a strong base in corporate finance through her time at Deloitte and PwC.
Kylie holds a Bachelor of Accounting (with First Class Honours) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
Mihnea Enache
Investment Analyst
Mihnea is an Investment Analyst in the Private Markets team. Mihnea provides critical analytical support on the evaluation of new opportunities, the sourcing of new targets, and ensuring internal processes run smoothly.
Mihnea’s prior experience includes UBS investment banking. Mihnea completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Finance and Economics at the University of Auckland.
Kate Power
Investment Analyst
Kate is a Junior Investment Analyst based in our Sydney office, focusing on Australian equities. Her role at Milford is to assist the Australian Equities team with company research and analysis.
Prior to joining Milford in June 2021, Kate worked at QIC in the Global Real Estate team as an Investment Analyst. Kate graduated from the University of Queensland in 2019 with a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics.
Grace O’Hanlon
Sustainable Investment Analyst
Grace joined Milford in January 2022 as a Sustainable Investment Analyst in the Auckland office.
Her role is to facilitate the pricing of sustainability risk and identification of sustainability opportunities, while engaging effectively with the companies we invest in to drive more sustainable outcomes. Prior to joining Milford, Grace was a Process Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry, before moving to New Zealand and becoming an Assistant Analyst in Equity Research at Jarden.
Grace graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014 with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Biological Engineering. Grace is also an Olympian and a Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist.
Roland Houghton
Investment Analyst
Roland joined Milford in May 2016 as an Investment Analyst, based in the Sydney office. His role at Milford is to research, meet and analyse a range of companies to identify potential opportunities. Prior to Milford, Roland worked as a junior Portfolio Manager at a boutique funds management company based in Sydney.
Roland graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2014 with a Bachelor of Commerce, double majoring in Finance and Marketing, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Remy Morgan
Credit Analyst
Remy joined Milford in 2022 as a Credit Analyst within the Fixed Income Team. Her primary role is to research investment opportunities within local and international corporate bond markets.
Prior to joining Milford, Remy worked in banking with experience across commercial, corporate, and institutional banking at BNZ, as well as DBS Bank in London. Remy holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University, majoring in Finance and Accounting.
Ryan Williams
Senior Analyst
Ryan is a Senior Analyst focused on global infrastructure, utilities and real estate assets. He works on the Global Real Assets Fund at Milford. Previously he spent eight years at RBC Global Asset Management and National Bank of Canada in Toronto managing North American equities, before working in Corporate M&A for six years at Whirlpool Corp and Insurance Australia Group.
Ryan is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master of Commerce (Finance & Economics) from The University of Sydney in Australia, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. Ryan is based in Sydney office.
Jerram Lindsay
Investment Analyst
Jerram is an Investment Analyst based in our Sydney office within the Global Equities team. Prior to joining Milford in 2022, Jerram spent 4 years as an Analyst at Spheria Asset Management, focused on global SMID- and micro-cap equities.
Jerram holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Queensland.
William McVeagh
Equity Trading Manager
Will joined Milford in 2018 as the Australian Dealer based in the Sydney office, responsible for trade execution. Prior to joining Milford, Will was trading equity and FX for Kiwi Wealth Investments in Wellington. Will has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago, and is a CFA charterholder.
Brendan Larsen
Dealer
Brendan joined Milford in November 2018 as an Associate in the Private Wealth team. Following his time in Private Wealth, Brendan moved to the Investment Team as Dealer in the Auckland office, primarily responsible for the execution of NZ equity investments.
Prior to joining Milford full-time, Brendan was an intern with the Private Wealth team while finishing his final year at the University of Auckland, where he studied a Bachelor of Commerce, double majoring in Finance and Accounting. Brendan is also a CFA Charterholder.
George Lawrence
Sustainable Investment Analyst
George is a Investment Analyst focused on Sustainable Global Equities. Prior to joining Milford in 2024, George spent four years in London working for Columbia Threadneedle, working in the Global Emerging Markets Equity fund, and as a Investment analyst at SYZ Group, a long only European Equity fund. George started his investment career at ANZ, within the Australasian Equities team.
George holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Canterbury majoring in Finance and Geology.
Bella Sigley
Sustainable Investment Associate
Bella joined Milford in 2024 as a Sustainable Investment Associate in the Auckland office. Her primary role is to integrate best practice sustainability research and approaches into Milford’s investment process.
Prior to joining Milford, Bella worked at ANZ NZ as an institutional banking graduate. Bella holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and a Masters in Finance (Distinction) from University of Otago
Minh Pham
Senior Analyst
Minh is a Senior Analyst in the Australian Equities team. Prior to joining Milford in 2024, Minh spent 3 years at Barrenjoey as an Australian bank’s equity research analyst. Minh started her financial career ten years ago at UBS in Sydney, covering the Australian insurance and diversified financial sector.
She holds Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from The University of New South Wales.
Ellie Huang
Dealing Associate
Ellie joined Milford in October 2023 as an Associate Dealer in the Sydney office, primarily helping the Dealing Team with their trading execution.
Prior to joining Milford full-time, Ellie was an intern Data and AI consulting at Deloitte. She graduated from the University of New South Wales, where she studied a bachelor of Economics and Science, with a triple major in Financial Economics, Accounting and Statistics.

Murray Harris
Head of KiwiSaver & Retail
Murray is responsible for Milford’s KiwiSaver and Retail business, covering our KiwiSaver strategy, products and services as well as our Investor Services team.
Since joining Milford in January 2013, Murray has held a number of senior roles across the business including Head of Wholesale and Head of Wealth Management & Advice. Murray has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services in New Zealand and overseas. Previously, Murray was part of the Senior Management Team at Spicers Portfolio Management, a Director at Goldman Sachs JBWere Asset Management, and Vice President at BT Funds Management NZ.
Murray is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), where he completed a Diploma of Financial Markets and is a Business graduate from Massey University. He is an Associate member of the CFA Society of NZ, a member of the Financial Services Council (and member of the Strategic Research Committee), and a member of and mentor for the Institute of Finance Professionals of NZ (INFINZ).
Mark Rosevear
Senior Manager, Investor Services
Mark is responsible for managing the Investor Services team which services members in our Milford KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds. Mark joined Milford in January 2015 as Wholesale Client Manager and then moved to the Retail Client Servicing team in February 2017.
Prior to Milford, Mark worked for Citibank N.A. (New Zealand branch) where he spent almost four years as a Sales/Client Executive. Prior to that, he spent more than 15 years with Trustees Executors as Head of Business Development and in Corporate Trustee roles.
Mark is a member of INFINZ and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, having completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Canterbury University majoring in Accountancy and Business Administration.
Jaimee Masefield
Team Leader, Investor Services
Jaimee joined Milford in June 2018. She is a Team Leader of the Investor Services team which services Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds clients.
Before joining Milford, Jaimee developed through a number of roles with Kiwibank in its retail department. She specialised in a range of products including KiwiSaver, Business and Everyday banking.
Jaimee completed a Bachelor of Education with Auckland University of Technology and is currently working towards obtaining a New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).
Maddie Cruickshank
Senior Associate, Investor Services
Maddie is an Investor Services Senior Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined the team in June 2019. Prior to Milford, Maddie was a KiwiSaver Specialist at Fisher Funds for 13 months and developed a passion for investments.
Prior to that Maddie worked in retail banking for more than two years with ASB, which included home lending, insurances and KiwiSaver products.
Tim Collins
Team Leader, Investor Services
Tim is responsible for overseeing and guiding the Investor Services team which services Milford’s KiwiSaver and Investment Fund clients. Tim joined Milford in 2016.
Prior to joining Milford, Tim held various roles with Craigs Investment Partners and ANZ. Tim graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Business Studies with a double major in Finance and Marketing.
Olivia Kamins
Senior Associate, Investor Services
Olivia is an Investor Services Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined the team in February 2021. Prior to Milford, Olivia worked as a Client Service Officer at QSuper in Brisbane for three years. This is an Australian Superannuation Fund, specialising in pensions, investments, insurance and helping clients reach their retirement goals.
Olivia holds a Bachelor of International Hospitality Management, graduating from the Auckland University of Technology in 2017.
Carly Butters

Carly is an Investor Services Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined the team in December 2021. In 2022 she completed her New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) specialising in investments.
Prior to Milford, Carly worked at Generate Investment Management as a Sales Development Manager, specialising in KiwiSaver products.
Originally from the United States of America, Carly previously worked for Tesla, Inc. and Forsyth Barr Limited, where she developed a passion for customer service and investments.
Kavita Devi Lal

Kavita is an Investor Services Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined Milford in July 2021.
Prior to joining Milford, Kavita held various roles in the banking industry in Fiji and New Zealand. The most recent was working as an Onboarding Associate at Bank of New Zealand and within the Client Services/Business Support Team at Westpac.
Originally from Fiji, Kavita graduated from the Fiji National University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Finance) and has recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Enterprise from the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT), New Zealand.
Jordan Forrest

Jordan is an Investor Services Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined the team in September 2022. Prior to joining Milford, Jordan held a number of positions within financial services. Working previously as a Financial Adviser with Apex Advice Group, and an Investor Relationships Manager with PMG Funds.
Jordan also graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Finance and Geology. In 2020, he completed his N.Z. Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) specialising in Investments.
Jerald Joseph

Jerald is an Investor Services Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined the team in September 2023. Prior to Milford, Jerald worked in various roles across banking & finance industry with the most recent experiences being as a Client Relationship Manager at Generate KiwiSaver, Corporate Actions Officer at Apex(then MMC Ltd.) & Credit Solutions Officer at ASB bank.

Wayne is the Chief Investment Officer at Milford and the Head of Australian Investments. He is the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Trans-Tasman Equity and Australian Absolute Growth Funds. He has more than 25 years’ experience in managing a diverse range of Australian equities portfolios. Prior to joining Milford, Wayne was Deputy Head of Australian Equities at Colonial First State Global Asset Management. Previously, Wayne held Senior Analyst and Deputy Head of Research roles with Allianz Global Investors, and JP Morgan.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jonathan Windust

Jonathan is Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Manager of the Milford Active Growth Funds (Investment Funds & KiwiSaver) and Co-Manager of the Aggressive Funds (Investment Funds & KiwiSaver). Prior to joining Milford in 2008, Jonathan worked for Gartmore Investment Management in London where he was Portfolio Manager for the Royal Bank of Scotland Pension Scheme which had assets in excess of NZ$25bn. While at Gartmore, Jonathan was also responsible for investment strategy and investments into individual private equity funds and companies across Europe and Asia. Prior to Gartmore, Jonathan worked for BT Funds Management, Frank Russell and the New Zealand Dairy Board (now Fonterra). Jonathan is a CFA Charterholder.
Paul Morris
Portfolio Manager & Deputy CIO
Paul is Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of a number of Milford Funds. He joined Milford in February 2016, and has more than 25 years’ experience in global and Australasian financial markets. Paul held senior fixed income roles with investment banks including Merrill Lynch and ABN AMRO in London. His experience includes debt capital markets, credit trading and interest rate derivatives trading. Paul moved to New Zealand in 2009 and was Executive Director and Head of Debt Capital Markets at JBWere, before moving to Macquarie Private Wealth in 2010 where he was Head of Portfolio Strategy. Paul has a Master in Aeronautical Engineering from Queen’s University in Belfast.

Anthony Quirk
Chairman and Non-Executive Director
Anthony is Chairman and a Non-Executive Director of the Milford Asset Management board and a number of Milford subsidiary company boards. Anthony is also a member of the Board Audit & Risk Committee and Board Investment Committee and a long-standing shareholder. Anthony has been involved in a number of boards that focus on providing some benefit to the community. He is also currently Chair of Humanitix NZ, and on the Board of the Milford Foundation.
Anthony has more than 30 years’ executive experience in the investment and financial services industry. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand (INFINZ) and is a former Chairman of that organisation. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors.
Lester Gray
Non-Executive Director
Lester is a Non-Executive Director of Milford Asset Management and he Chairs the Board Investment Committee and the Private Equity Investment Committee.
Lester retired from Schroders, an international asset management group, in 2013 after working for 26 years in several senior roles based in London, New York and Singapore. From 2004 he was CEO, and from 2012 Chairman of Schroders’ Asia Pacific business, which has operations in nine countries across the region. In addition to his executive roles, Lester was Chairman of the Investment Management Association of Singapore from 2006-2013. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Fullerton Fund Management in Singapore and adviser to a number of private investment firms in New Zealand and Asia.
Lester holds a New Zealand Certificate of Engineering from the Waikato Institute of Technology and Authority of Advanced Vocational Awards, New Zealand.
Carolyn Colley
Non-Executive Director
Carolyn is based in Sydney and has more than 30 years of Australian financial services sector knowledge formed through leadership roles at KPMG, BT Financial, Asgard Wealth Solutions, St George and Macquarie Bank. Carolyn was also the CEO of formerly listed software business, Decimal Software Limited.
Carolyn was most recently Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Faethm Pty Ltd, a global Software-as-a-Service augmented analytics platform which enables companies, governments and educators to understand the impact of emerging technologies on the Future of Work.
Since finishing her last executive role in 2020, Carolyn is currently an independent Non-Executive Director of Milford Asset Management, a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Milford Australia Pty Ltd and a member of Milford’s Board, Audit & Risk Committee. Carolyn is also on the board of other non-Milford entities including the subsidiary settlement and clearing boards of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:ASX), Smartgroup (ASX:SIQ), CountPlus (ASX:CUP), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and is a Director and Deputy Chair of Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections, a community based not-for-profit organisation.
John Ward
Non-Executive Director
John is a non-executive director of Milford Asset Management Ltd and some of Milford’s subsidiary boards. He is a member of the Board Audit and Risk Committee and is a long-standing major shareholder of Milford.
His background includes partnerships with the national accountancy practice KPMG and the Southland and southern lakes practice Ward Wilson. He had a lengthy term on the Board of SBS Bank and was Chair of that entity for 9 years, stepping aside in 2019. He also chaired Finance Now and various other companies prior to his governance roles with Milford.
John’s Community and Philanthropic roles include lengthy terms as Chancellor of the University of Otago and Chair of the University of Otago Foundation Trust.
He holds Bachelor of Commerce and Honorary Doctor of Law Degrees from the University of Otago. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Institute of Australia and New Zealand and a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

He initially joined Milford in May 2014 as Head of Risk & Compliance. He was appointed Head of Product & Operations in February 2017, with responsibility for building a centre of excellence in operational processes to serve Milford clients. He was also responsible for the design, development and maintenance of investment products and solutions that help clients meet their financial goals and life stage aspirations, as well as responsibility for the development and maintenance of digital platforms that deliver such products and meet client service needs.
Prior to joining Milford, Mark worked as Managing Director at Brook Asset Management, Chief Operating Officer at Macquarie Private Wealth, and at ASB Group Investments where roles included Acting Head of Wealth, Head of Aegis, and GM Finance and Risk Strategy. Prior to arriving in New Zealand, Mark worked as Assistant Director of Operations at Threadneedle Asset Management in the UK.

Lindsay Wright

Lindsay is an independent Non-Executive Director of Milford Asset Management Limited and some of Milford’s subsidiary entities. Lindsay is also Chair of the Board, Audit & Risk Committee, and a Director on Milford’s private equity entities.
Lindsay has over 30 years of financial services experience spanning Auckland, Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore and New York, principally in asset management. Most recently Lindsay has been the Chief Executive Officer of Sun Hung Kai Capital Partners Limited based in Hong Kong and prior to that has held a range of executive and senior leadership roles at BNY Mellion Investment Management, Invesco, Matthews Asia, Harvest Funds Management and Bankers Trust / Deutsche Asset Management.
She is currently a non–executive Director of NZX Limited (NZX:NZ), Chair of its Audit and Risk Committee and member of the Clearing House Committee and a non-executive director of Navigator Global Investments (ASX:NGI). Previously she has been Deputy Chair of the Board and Chair of the Audit Committee of the Guardians of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund and a Board member of Kiwi Bank Limited.

Sarah Mitchell

Sarah is the Chief of Staff at Milford, working within the CEO Office. This role is a strategic enterprise-wide position which sees her working across key business priorities, as well as being responsible for internal communications.
Bringing a wealth of experience to the role and backed by deep institutional knowledge, since joining Milford in 2010 she has held roles across Client Services, Product and Marketing, and was previously the Chief Marketing Officer.
Prior to working with Milford, she held roles within the funds management industry in Australia.
Sarah is also a Trustee for MoneyTime NZ Foundation and has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Auckland.
Kristine Brooks
Chief Country Officer & Executive Director
Kristine is the Chief Country Officer at Milford, and Executive Director on Milford Australia Pty Ltd Board.
It is her responsibility to develop and drive the strategy to grow Milford’s Australian business by developing Milford’s profile and credibility in the Australian market place.
Kristine has more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian Financial Services Industry, working in Stockbroking, Financial Advice, Life Insurance and Funds Management, with extensive experience in Strategic Business Growth including M&A, Business Development, Brand and Marketing.
Prior to joining Milford, Kristine was the Chief Distribution Officer for Zurich Financial Services Australia and was at Zurich for 16 years. Previously, Kristine held Business Development roles with Challenger Financial Services and Deutsche Financial Planning.

James Bourke
Chief Financial & Operating Officer
James joined Milford as Chief Financial Officer in January 2019.
Prior to joining Milford, he had more than 14 years’ experience in the financial services industry, primarily in Auckland and London. James was the General Manager – Management Information and prior to that General Manager – Financial Information & Control, both at ASB Bank (Auckland). Earlier in his career he held roles in the Treasury function at Investec Bank (London and Sydney) and Morgan Stanley (London). In addition to his finance background, James has management consulting experience, primarily from his time with Accenture (Wellington).
James is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) and has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (First Class Honours) from Victoria University of Wellington and a Certificate in International Treasury Management (Distinction) from The Association of Corporate Treasurers.
John Paull

John was appointed to the role of Chief Client Officer in May 2024, and is responsible for Milford’s Client Service, Line 1 Risk, KiwiSaver, Distribution, and Advice functions in New Zealand and has over 25 years Funds Management experience in New Zealand and Australia
Since joining Milford in 2015, John has held a number of senior leadership roles including being the Chief Operating Officer from 2019 to early 2024 with responsibilities including Operations, Product, IT, Risk and Client Services. John has extensive large team leadership across client, risk and operational functions. Prior to working with Milford, John was with Colonial First State in Australia for 13 years, spending the last eight years as Head of Investment Operations. His team was responsible for providing investment administration services to the Asset Management, Insurance, Platform and Superannuation businesses.
Sarah Norrie
Chief Marketing Officer
Sarah is the Chief Marketing Officer at Milford, responsible for promoting Milford’s Funds and services across New Zealand and Australia. The marketing team Sarah heads supports the various client-facing areas of the business.
Sarah is also the Chair of the Milford Foundation and holds a certificate in Governance from the Institute of Directors. She has a Level 3 qualification in Tikanga and a Level 2 qualification in Te ao Māori from Te Wanaga o Aotearoa.
Prior to working with Milford (since 2020), she has had a varied and extensive career in sales, media and strategic marketing consultancy. Sarah has concepted, developed and sold various businesses, and has held numerous senior advertising roles, including the Managing Director of Grey Global Group in New Zealand.
Renee Hector

Renee joined Milford in November 2022. She is responsible for driving the digital technology strategy to deliver innovative digital experiences for our clients.
Renee has over 15 years’ experience working in senior technology related roles both in New Zealand and Australia, across insurance, mining, and engineering industries. Prior to joining Milford, Renee was the Head of Application Delivery for NIB NZ leading their digital product delivery and software engineering team.
Renee has a Bachelor of Information Science from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and a Masters of Technological Futures from AcademyEX in Auckland, New Zealand.

As Chief People & Culture Officer, Liz is responsible for developing and implementing people strategies which further build on our high performing values-based culture.
Liz is an experienced people and culture leader with more than 25 years’ working across multiple sectors including technology, healthcare, and professional services. Prior to joining Milford, she was employed as National People & Culture Director at Grant Thornton.

Murray Harris
Head of KiwiSaver & Retail
Murray is responsible for Milford’s KiwiSaver and Retail business, covering our KiwiSaver strategy, products and services as well as our Investor Services team.
Since joining Milford in January 2013, Murray has held a number of senior roles across the business including Head of Wholesale and Head of Wealth Management & Advice. Murray has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services in New Zealand and overseas. Previously, Murray was part of the Senior Management Team at Spicers Portfolio Management, a Director at Goldman Sachs JBWere Asset Management, and Vice President at BT Funds Management NZ.
Murray is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), where he completed a Diploma of Financial Markets and is a Business graduate from Massey University. He is an Associate member of the CFA Society of NZ, a member of the Financial Services Council (and member of the Strategic Research Committee), and a member of and mentor for the Institute of Finance Professionals of NZ (INFINZ).
Liam Robertson

Liam joined the Milford KiwiSaver team in 2021 as a KiwiSaver Adviser.
Prior to joining Milford, Liam worked in Financial Services, Residential Lending and Property in both NZ and the UK. After returning from the UK in 2016, Liam trained as a Commercial Pilot with Southern Wings Flight School, qualifying in 2019.

Kirsten joined the Milford KiwiSaver team in November 2021 as a KiwiSaver Adviser with 17 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry in New Zealand and Australia.

Murtaza Haidermota

Having accumulated over 4-and-a-half years of experience in the financial services industry across New Zealand and Australia, Murtaza joined the Milford KiwiSaver team in July 2023 as a KiwiSaver Adviser.
Prior to joining the team at Milford, Murtaza worked at Fisher Funds as a KiwiSaver and Managed Funds specialist. Previously Murtaza has worked in lending both in New Zealand and Australia.

Shin joined Milford KiwiSaver team in October 2023 as a KiwiSaver Adviser after over 15 years in the financial services industry in New Zealand and Australia.
Prior to joining Milford, Shin was a Wealth Adviser (Team Leader) for another boutique fund manager in New Zealand for 2 years, specialising in advising retail clients on KiwiSaver and other managed funds. Before entering the investment industry, Shin spent over 10 years in Foreign Exchange industry mainly as a Senior FX Dealer for Xe, previously known as HiFX, advising high net worth individuals and corporate clients based in New Zealand and Australia on FX hedging and risk management in the money transfer division.
Shin holds a double degree (Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Bachelor of Tourism) from the University of Otago and NZ Certificate in Financial Services.

Jodee joined Milford in December 2021 as a Wealth Management Associate and has joined the KiwiSaver team as an Associate in October 2024. Prior to that, she worked at SuperLife as a Data Integrity Administrator handling Investment Funds, Superannuation, and KiwiSaver.
Jodee has several years of experience in the financial services industry both in New Zealand and overseas, having worked at HSBC Fund of Hedge Funds, ACC, and NIB. Philip joined Milford in August 2017 as Head of Private Wealth and brings a breadth of experience at Executive and Senior Management level from a 30-year career.
Prior to joining Milford, Philip held senior management positions at several of New Zealand’s leading and long-established wealth and fund managers including roles as General Manager, Head of Product Management, Investments (NZ) and Head of Product Management and Marketing. Philip has been responsible for large Financial Advisory teams and first-hand experience with High Net Worth and Institutional clients complemented by experience in investment governance through; membership of three investment and asset allocation committees, Chairmanship of a Staff Superannuation Fund and Trustee of a large charitable trust.

Jessica joined Milford in 2014 as a Financial Adviser. Jessica’s role is to provide quality advice to clients on their investment portfolios and manage client relationships. Alistair joined Milford in 2012 and his role involves developing and managing client relationships as well as advising private clients on their investment portfolios. He has spent more than 20 years in the finance industry both in the UK and NZ. The previous eight years were spent in the NZ wealth management industry firstly as a Director at Goldman Sachs JBWere (NZ) Ltd and then most recently at Macquarie Equities (NZ) Ltd. Alistair graduated from the University of Otago in 1991 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours). Alistair was previously a member of the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX).

Bruce joined Milford in April 2016 having worked in financial markets for more than 20 years. Bruce spent nine years in London working for JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley in Asian equity sales roles before transferring to Singapore in 2008 with Morgan Stanley. Most recently Bruce was head of the institutional equity sales desk at global investment bank, Jefferies Singapore. Prior to moving overseas, Bruce worked in the fund management industry in NZ as an equity analyst for Norwich Union Investment Management. Nicky joined Private Wealth in June 2018 after initially joining Milford in January 2015. Prior to joining Milford, Nicky held financial planning (paraplanning), investment management advice, estate planning advice and trust management roles over a 17-year career at BNZ Private Bank, Perpetual Trust and Public Trust in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Leigh Wotherspoon

Leigh is a Financial Adviser based in our Christchurch office. He joined the Milford team in 2018.
Previous to this role he advised members of Medical Assurance Society, a boutique financial services organisation, for 10 years. Leigh commenced his career with Baillieu Stockbroking in Melbourne before working with Credit Suisse in London for six years.

Lisa joined Milford in February 2022 as a Financial Adviser and has more than 18 years’ experience across financial services and investor relations in the UK and New Zealand.
Lisa is originally from Sweden and immigrated to New Zealand in late 2008 after more than a decade in London where she held various roles in investor relations, with the last few years at a leading Nordic investment bank.
Prior to joining Milford, Lisa spent 11 years with a major New Zealand bank, most recently as a Partner in its Private Bank division providing financial advice to high net worth individuals and Trustees of Family Trusts.

Richard joined Milford in 2017 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the wealth management industry in Europe and NZ. After helping to build the presence of a major Scandinavian bank in London, he went on to gain experience in their asset management division in Stockholm. Joanna returned to New Zealand in June 2019 after living overseas for 15 years, with the past five years working at a leading Private Bank in both Wellington and Sydney. In the UK she worked predominately as a Relationship Manager in Private Banks and Investment firms, providing quality advice and managing client relationships.

Before joining Milford, Emma spent three years at the Financial Markets Authority as an adviser in the Compliance Services team. She has also worked for Macquarie Funds Group in Sydney and for global investment management firm Baillie Gifford in Edinburgh.

Joanna joined Milford in November 2022 as a Wealth Management Associate with 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Milford, Joanna worked for a boutique financial advisory service as the administrator and compliance officer and then for one of NZ’s largest brokerage firms as an adviser assistant.

Tyson joined Milford in 2024 after recently running his own business in Wanaka. Lara joined the Milford team in January 2021 and is a Financial Adviser based in our Cambridge office. Prior to moving to New Zealand, Lara worked for Newton Investment Management, owned by BNYMellon for three years in Edinburgh where she serviced high net worth individuals, Trusts and Charities.

Mike is responsible for Milford’s Institutional clients including charities, community trusts, foundations, Iwi and corporate superannuation schemes.
Mike joined Milford in 2014 and spent three years looking after family trusts, high net worth individuals, as well as a number of foundations and charities through the Private Wealth division.
Prior to joining Milford, Mike spent six years with another NZ boutique Fund Manager where he looked after high net worth families and institutional clients. Earlier in his career Mike worked for a family office with a particular interest in equity market investments, and for Credit Suisse and the Royal Bank of Scotland in the UK. Alice is responsible for managing the operational aspects of the Intermediary channel and driving key client initiatives. Alice joined Milford in 2019, initially servicing retail KiwiSaver and Investment Fund clients.
In 2021, Alice transitioned to the Wholesale team as Wholesale Associate before taking on her current role as Service Delivery Lead. Alice graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Economics and Finance, Alice has also completed Level 1 of the CFA Program.

Will is the Wholesale Associate, supporting the team that manages relationships with Milford’s Institutional and Intermediary clients.
Prior to this, Will spent 18 months in the Investor Services team working with Milford’s KiwiSaver and Retail Investment Funds clients. Will has also spent time at Forsyth Barr working in their Client Administration team.
Originally from Otago, Will graduated in 2021 from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Commerce. He has also completed the New Zealand Financial Services Certificate.

Mark Rosevear
Senior Manager, Investor Services
Mark is responsible for managing the Investor Services team which services members in our Milford KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds. Mark joined Milford in January 2015 as Wholesale Client Manager and then moved to the Retail Client Servicing team in February 2017.
Prior to Milford, Mark worked for Citibank N.A. (New Zealand branch) where he spent almost four years as a Sales/Client Executive. Prior to that, he spent more than 15 years with Trustees Executors as Head of Business Development and in Corporate Trustee roles.
Mark is a member of INFINZ and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, having completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Canterbury University majoring in Accountancy and Business Administration.
Jaimee Masefield
Team Leader, Investor Services
Jaimee joined Milford in June 2018. She is a Team Leader of the Investor Services team which services Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds clients.
Before joining Milford, Jaimee developed through a number of roles with Kiwibank in its retail department. She specialised in a range of products including KiwiSaver, Business and Everyday banking.
Jaimee completed a Bachelor of Education with Auckland University of Technology and is currently working towards obtaining a New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).
Maddie Cruickshank
Senior Associate, Investor Services
Maddie is an Investor Services Senior Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined the team in June 2019. Prior to Milford, Maddie was a KiwiSaver Specialist at Fisher Funds for 13 months and developed a passion for investments.
Prior to that Maddie worked in retail banking for more than two years with ASB, which included home lending, insurances and KiwiSaver products.
Tim Collins
Team Leader, Investor Services
Tim is responsible for overseeing and guiding the Investor Services team which services Milford’s KiwiSaver and Investment Fund clients. Tim joined Milford in 2016.
Prior to joining Milford, Tim held various roles with Craigs Investment Partners and ANZ. Tim graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Business Studies with a double major in Finance and Marketing.
Andrew Curtayne
Senior Analyst
Andrew joined Milford in 2023 as a Senior Analyst focusing on global equities research. He is also the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Global Select Fund.
Prior to joining Milford, Andrew spent three years as a Portfolio Manager at NZ Funds focusing on absolute return strategies investing across equities, bonds and commodities.
Before this he spent 5 years in London working at Melqart Asset Management, an event driven Hedge Fund focused on long/short equites, merger arbitrage and distressed credit. Andrew spent the first 5 years of his career advising on Mergers and Acquisitions predominantly with Goldman Sachs.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland with First Class Honours, majoring in Finance and Economics.
Andrew is based in Milford’s Auckland office.
Olivia Kamins
Senior Associate, Investor Services
Olivia is an Investor Services Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined the team in February 2021. Prior to Milford, Olivia worked as a Client Service Officer at QSuper in Brisbane for three years. This is an Australian Superannuation Fund, specialising in pensions, investments, insurance and helping clients reach their retirement goals.
Olivia holds a Bachelor of International Hospitality Management, graduating from the Auckland University of Technology in 2017.

George is a Investment Analyst focused on Sustainable Global Equities. Prior to joining Milford in 2024, George spent four years in London working for Columbia Threadneedle, working in the Global Emerging Markets Equity fund, and as a Investment analyst at SYZ Group, a long only European Equity fund. George started his investment career at ANZ, within the Australasian Equities team.
George holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Canterbury majoring in Finance and Geology.
Bella Sigley

Bella joined Milford in 2024 as a Sustainable Investment Associate in the Auckland office. Her primary role is to integrate best practice sustainability research and approaches into Milford’s investment process.

Prior to joining Milford, Kavita held various roles in the banking industry in Fiji and New Zealand. The most recent was working as an Onboarding Associate at Bank of New Zealand and within the Client Services/Business Support Team at Westpac.
Originally from Fiji, Kavita graduated from the Fiji National University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Finance) and has recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Enterprise from the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT), New Zealand.

Jordan is an Investor Services Associate for Milford’s KiwiSaver Plan and Investment Funds, having joined the team in September 2022. Prior to joining Milford, Jordan held a number of positions within financial services. Working previously as a Financial Adviser with Apex Advice Group, and an Investor Relationships Manager with PMG Funds.

Liam joined the Milford KiwiSaver team in 2021 as a KiwiSaver Adviser.
Prior to joining Milford, Liam worked in Financial Services, Residential Lending and Property in both NZ and the UK. After returning from the UK in 2016, Liam trained as a Commercial Pilot with Southern Wings Flight School, qualifying in 2019.

Having accumulated over 4-and-a-half years of experience in the financial services industry across New Zealand and Australia, Murtaza joined the Milford KiwiSaver team in July 2023 as a KiwiSaver Adviser.

Prior to joining Milford, Shin was a Wealth Adviser (Team Leader) for another boutique fund manager in New Zealand for 2 years, specialising in advising retail clients on KiwiSaver and other managed funds. Before entering the investment industry, Shin spent over 10 years in Foreign Exchange industry mainly as a Senior FX Dealer for Xe, previously known as HiFX, advising high net worth individuals and corporate clients based in New Zealand and Australia on FX hedging and risk management in the money transfer division.

Prior to moving to New Zealand, Lara worked for Newton Investment Management, owned by BNYMellon for three years in Edinburgh where she serviced high net worth individuals, Trusts and Charities.
Since being with Milford, Lara has been part of the Private Wealth team as well as the KiwiSaver and Investment Fund team. Lara’s role is to provide exceptional client service, establish relationships with our clients and can provide advice to our Investment Fund and KiwiSaver clients. She is passionate about helping people reach their financial goals and assisting them on their investment journey.
Lara holds her Investment Administration Qualification gained in the UK and her Level 5 New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 2) specialising in Investments.

Rachael joined Milford in March 2024 as a Wealth Management Associate. She has over 10 years of experience in Operations and Relationship Management within the financial and technology sectors.
Before joining Milford, Rachael worked for Lehman Brothers Europe in London and for a global investment management firm called Paulson & Co Inc. in New York. Rachael is a graduate of DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology.

Reece Macdonald

Reece joined Milford in 2018 and brings 25 years’ experience in financial services and investment management from roles in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Reece’s role is to provide quality advice to individuals, Trusts and charities on their investment portfolios and manage ongoing client relationships.
Prior to joining Milford, Reece spent 15 years with Bank of New Zealand including six years in Private Bank which included roles of Divisional Director and Private Bank Partner. He also spent seven years as a Senior Partner in the Canterbury BNZ Partnership leading teams in Private Banking, Agribusiness, Corporate Finance and Property Finance. In the United Kingdom, Reece spent five years with Merrill Lynch International.
Reece has a rural background having grown up in rural North Otago and continues to have strong links to the Agriculture sector. He completed a Commerce Degree from Lincoln University in 1991.

Leigh Wotherspoon

Leigh is a Financial Adviser based in our Christchurch office. He joined the Milford team in 2018.
Previous to this role he advised members of Medical Assurance Society, a boutique financial services organisation, for 10 years. Leigh commenced his career with Baillieu Stockbroking in Melbourne before working with Credit Suisse in London for six years.
Leigh holds qualifications in Financial Markets and Accounting from Australian institutions.

Charlotte joined Milford in 2019 and is based in our Christchurch office as a Financial Adviser within our Wealth Management team, providing advice to individuals, families, and trustees of family trusts.
She has over 17 years’ experience in the financial services industry in New Zealand and Australia, including seven years at Macquarie Bank in Sydney, and more recently a boutique wealth management and financial advisory firm in Christchurch.

Kaine Ransby

Kaine joined the Wealth Management team as a Wealth Management Associate in Auckland in October 2021 before transferring to the Christchurch office in February 2024. Prior to that, Kaine worked in Milford’s Investor Services for 18 months working with KiwiSaver and Investment Funds clients.
Before joining Milford, Kaine worked with ASB Bank in the Internal Audit and Design Teams. Kaine holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Otago, a New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), and a Graduate Diploma in Arts (Philosophy) from Massey University.

Michelle’s role is to provide quality advice to clients on their investment portfolio and to manage client relationships. Prior to returning to Hawkes Bay, Michelle worked in Wellington and Sydney in Client Relationship and Business Development roles within the financial services industry.

Brad has spent an enjoyable 25 years in the financial services industry. He commenced as a financial adviser where he obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation before moving into the corporate sector where he held senior positions in the investment divisions of both NAB/MLC and Zurich.
Before joining Milford, he was an Investment Consultant with the Centrepoint Alliance group of licensees.

Murray has more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian financial services market covering platforms, insurance and managed accounts predominantly focused on sales, strategy and corporate partnerships. Most recently, Murray spent seven years at Macquarie where he was responsible for building and executing the national key account strategy across platform, managed accounts and cash management.

Joining Milford in 2018, Regan brings more than a decade of experience in the Australian finance industry with extensive exposure to the funds management, investment research, data, software and advice segments.
Prior to joining Milford, Regan spent six years with Morningstar Australia. In his previous role as Head of Adviser Distribution, Investment Management, Regan was responsible for servicing a national footprint of financial advisers, dealer groups, research teams and platforms in addition to leading a team of business development professionals.

Minh is a Senior Analyst in the Australian Equities team. Prior to joining Milford in 2024, Minh spent 3 years at Barrenjoey as an Australian bank’s equity research analyst. Minh started her financial career ten years ago at UBS in Sydney, covering the Australian insurance and diversified financial sector.

India joined the Milford Australia Distribution Team in 2024 as a Business Development Associate. Prior to this, she was with Milford New Zealand as a Private Wealth Associate for two and a half years.
In her current position, she works with the Head of Distribution and Business Development Managers by assisting with the engagement of research teams, asset consultants, platform providers, and financial advisers. Her contributions are essential in ensuring that Milford is recognised as a fund manager of choice.
Before joining Milford, India was a Sales Development Representative at Generate Investment Management, where she specialized in KiwiSaver products. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from the University of Wellington.

Tyson joined Milford in 2024 after recently running his own business in Wanaka. Joanna joined Milford in January 2021 as a Financial Adviser in our Wellington Office. She has 20 years’ experience in banking, investment and financial services in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Joanna returned to New Zealand in June 2019 after living overseas for 15 years, with the past five years working at a leading Private Bank in both Wellington and Sydney. In the UK she worked predominately as a Relationship Manager in Private Banks and Investment firms, providing quality advice and managing client relationships.

Mike joined Milford in December 2020 working as a Wealth Management Associate in our Wellington office. He has more than five years of experience in the financial services industry in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Prior to Milford, Mike worked for the MMC-owned investment platform Aegis within the Equities, Bonds and Managed Funds teams and then as the Corporate Actions Specialist. Prior to moving to New Zealand, Mike worked for Fidelity International in their Wealth division, servicing high net worth individuals.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Politics from the University of Portsmouth and CISI Level 1 certificate in Investment Operations. He obtained the Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services – Investments (version 2) in November 2021.
