Melbourne, Australia – March 2, 2016 –
Charles River, a front and middle office investment management solution provider, today announced that Milford Asset Management, a leading investment management firm based in Auckland, New Zealand, is live on the hosted Charles River Investment Management Solution (Charles River IMS).
Charles River IMS provides Milford staff with a single platform to support investment management processes across the firm’s equity, fixed income, FX and derivatives operations in Auckland and Sydney. Milford is also leveraging Charles River’s fully managed data service and FIX network for the purchase and sale of global securities.
Anthony Quirk, Managing Director, Milford, said: “This move follows a process that started in mid-2014, reflecting our goal of moving to an investment management platform at international best practice level. It is a highly important step in that process as it moves us to a market leading position amongst New Zealand fund managers.
“With Charles River, we have one system that supports the investment management process from start-to-finish, across all asset classes,” Mr. Quirk said. “This improves productivity significantly for our Portfolio Managers, Centralised Dealing function, and Operations and Compliance teams. With Charles River managing and hosting the solution, we can easily access new capabilities and reduce the time and cost of upgrades.”
Cameron Field, Managing Director-APAC, Charles River, said: “Milford is the first New Zealand-based firm to implement Charles River IMS delivered as a hosted service. Our solution brings together the required set of data into a comprehensive, investment-focused view. This improves data quality dramatically, streamlines processes and makes it easy for clients to manage exposure and compliance risk.”
