Important information about who can open accounts for children:
KiwiSaver
For children under 16 – all parents/guardians (or one Oranga Tamariki guardian) must complete and submit the application form. For 16 & 17 year olds, at least one parent/guardian (or one Oranga Tamariki guardian) plus the child must complete and submit the application form.
Investment Funds
Only one parent/guardian needs to complete and submit the application form. However, if both parents/guardians want authority and visibility of the account then both must complete and submit the application form.
