Sponsorship - Milford Asset

At Milford we strongly believe in actively supporting the community that we’re proud to be a part of. To do this we partner with people we believe both enrich and make a meaningful difference to our community, which is why Milford is proud to be associated with the following organisations:

What's Up

0800 What’s Up is New Zealand’s most accessed telephone counselling service for 5 to 18 year olds. Last year they received over 325,000 calls, but demand continues to exceed their capacity, which means over 60% of calls go unanswered, so thousands of children go without the support they need. Milford’s support of What’s Up means many calls that would otherwise go unanswered are responded to, which helps more children across New Zealand.

The Blind Foundation

The Blind Foundation provides practical and emotional support for Kiwis who are blind or have low vision, enabling them to face their future with confidence. With a vision of ‘Life without limits,’ Blind Foundation staff around the country enable people who are blind or have low vision to be self-reliant and live the life they choose. Many people who lose their sight say reading a book is one of the things they miss the most, and the Blind Foundation Library service is a lifeline for these Kiwis. Milford are proud to support the Blind Foundation Library and help give the gift of reading to people who are blind or low vision.

Silo Theatre

Silo is one of New Zealand’s leading producers of contemporary theatre. They create bold work showcasing their energetic and uncompromising performances. Silo delivers cutting-edge, next-generation storytelling from New Zealand and around the world. Milford believes in supporting passionate and talented individuals and through our sponsorship we help Silo continue to deliver top-quality theatre

Festival of Colour and Aspiring Conversations

The Southern Lakes Festival of Colour is an exciting biennial celebration of the arts. Six exciting days and nights of astounding performances and inspiring exhibitions set against the spectacular autumnal backdrop of the Southern Lakes. The Festival is based in Wanaka but reaches out to the wider region – to Queenstown, Luggate, Hawea and Cromwell.

Special Children’s Christmas Party

Milford is a Platinum Sponsor of the Special Children’s Christmas Party 2017 (Auckland). The SKY TV Special Children’s Christmas Parties in association with Manuka Doctor are the biggest events of their kind in New Zealand for special needs children and their families. They work closely with hundreds of charities, schools, community groups and government organisations throughout New Zealand to select these special children. The children invited are children who suffer from one of the following: life threatening illness, physical and intellectual impairment, domestic violence, or living in underprivileged circumstances.

We also work with a selection of organisations within the community, extending our support in a variety of ways. These organisations include:

The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron
The Coatesville Community School
St Peters School
North Harbour Club, Business Hall of Fame
Wanaka Chamber of Commerce
Ngā hapu o Ngaruahine Iwi
NZ Hi-Tech Awards 2017
