Last Sunday, Milford took the opportunity of “Round the Bays” to raise funds for their principal sponsor, children’s charity, 0800 What’s Up (http://www.whatsup.co.nz/grown-ups).
Managing Director Anthony Quirk said: “The Round the Bays race was a great day for us and a fantastic way to showcase our support for 0800 What’s Up. We are pleased with the times we ran but far more proud of the support we are able to provide such a worthy cause. The excellent amount of money raised by our staff will be matched by a corporate donation from Milford.”
Staff from Milford were delighted with the funds they and the firm raised for the charity. Rhonda Morrison, Manager of 0800 What’s Up, said: “We were overwhelmed with the support from the team at Milford Asset Management who took on the challenge of Round the Bays and raised $5,750 for our children’s helpline, 0800 What’s Up. To top that off, this will be matched dollar for dollar by Milford!”
After the race Milford staff and families gathered at Madill’s Farm for a barbeque to celebrate the times they achieved and funds they raised.
